Far North Rentals is a locally owned Northland car rental company with a bases at the Bay of Islands Airport in Kerikeri, Paihia, Kaitaia & Kaitaia Airport. This means that we are ideally positioned to offer one way rentals between these Northland destinations.
Subject to vehicle availability we are able to offer one way rentals to/from Whangarei Airport.
We operate 7 days a week and you can call us on 0800 670 083 from 8am to 7pm any day.
We pride ourselves on high levels of service, flexibility and customer focus.
All our vehicles are New Zealand new Toyotas.
All rentals include free 24/7 roadside assistance, free standard insurance, unlimited kms, free additional drivers.
Whangarei - Your Gateway to Northland
Whangarei is the only city in Northland and it is the main commercial, legal and medical centre.
Far North Rentals are based at Whangarei Airport which has 5 scheduled Air New Zealand flights from Auckland per day. It is a short 35 minute flight from Auckland.
Because of our multiple locations throughout Northland (Kaitaia, Kaitaia Airport, Kerikeri Airport and Paihia) we are ideally placed to offer one way rentals to or from these destinations.
We offer a selection of modern, NZ new Toyota cars such as the Yaris and Corolla.
For the tourist Whangarei has many attractions such as the new Hundertwasser Art Centre, the Whangarei Falls the Town Basin and Whangarei Heads. Whangarei also offers a great selection of local cafes and restaurants.
Far North Rentals is the brain child of its founder, well known Northland business man Ken Mullarkey.
Ken, along with his wife Jenny, was determined to provide locals and tourists alike with well-priced and maintained vehicles delivered with a high level of personal service and flexibility. He felt that the big rentals brands could not match this level of service commitment. At the other end of the scale some local operators were offering poorly maintained vehicles at low prices but with a high risk of breakdowns. Starting modestly in 2012 from a base in Kaitaia with 3 vehicles we have grown rapidly to cover the whole mid and far north with additional bases now in Kerikeri Airport, Bay of Islands (Paihia and Opua) and Whangarei Airport. We also service Auckland Airport through arrangements with a local agents.
