Far North Rentals is a locally owned Northland car rental company with Whangarei bases at Whangarei Airport and Kamo. At Whangarei Airport we operate from a desk directly opposite the Air NZ counter. Cars are conveniently located close to the terminal.
We also operate from the Bay of Islands Airport in Kerikeri, Paihia, Kaitaia, Kaitaia Airport and Opua Marina (in the summer months). This means that we are ideally positioned to offer one way rentals between these Northland destinations. Subject to vehicle availability we are able to offer one way rentals to/from Whangarei Airport.

Because of our multiple locations throughout Northland (Kaitaia, Kaitaia Airport, Kerikeri Airport and Paihia) we are ideally placed to offer one way rentals to or from these destinations.
We offer a selection of modern, NZ new Toyota cars such as the Yaris and Corolla.
For the tourist Whangarei has many attractions such as the new Hundertwasser Art Centre, the Whangarei Falls the Town Basin and Whangarei Heads. Whangarei also offers a great selection of local cafes and restaurants.
Far North Rentals is the brain child of its founder, well known Northland business man Ken Mullarkey.
Ken, along with his wife Jenny, was determined to provide locals and tourists alike with well-priced and maintained vehicles delivered with a high level of personal service and flexibility. He felt that the big rentals brands could not match this level of service commitment. At the other end of the scale some local operators were offering poorly maintained vehicles at low prices but with a high risk of breakdowns. Starting modestly in 2012 from a base in Kaitaia with 3 vehicles we have grown rapidly to cover the whole mid and far north with additional bases now in Kerikeri Airport, Bay of Islands (Paihia and Opua) and Whangarei Airport. We also service Auckland Airport through arrangements with a local agents.
